Keen to escape the city traffic, our overseas client wanted a relaxed retreat for her property.

Faced with the challenge of a hilly Auckland site, we created three terraced levels running from the house defining usable spaces for a spa pool, an elevated dining area and a lawn. Now, there's a place to enjoy the sun all day long.

Foliage provides the constant backdrop with highlights of colour and texture. Striking cannas feature hot colours in summer and aloes offer bold forms all year round.
